After we moved out of Cubaneren last week we would have ended up as homeless if it was not for Wolfgang. He and Leonie has been our rescuers on this trip when we have needed it, first with towing us through the Panama Canal and now with hosting us for more than a week. We also borrowed Wolfgang’s car and got it towed (while he was in Mexico working on his boat), but luckily that turned out well…
Last Friday Leonie and Wolfgang invited us, and Monica (Wolfgang`s daughter) to lunch at Golden Gate Yacht club which really is at first row for the spectacular fleet week show. This time the floating part of the fleet was not too big, as they are busy working with building infrastructure and help the needing in the Caribbean. What happened in the air was however very spectacular. The pilots are artists and did tricks which looked totally impossible. All from the smallest stunt planes via older and never fighter planes and the biggest Boeing model was also showing off.
On Saturday, Wolfgang took us to his local wine district outside Livermore. Lunch, tasting and enjoying life!
On Sunday we went on Octoberfest party a bit south of San Jose. In the middle of the «red wood» forest and enjoying the German beer and food!
We are so lucky to have met all these fantastic, helping and happy people on our trip half way around the globe.
